Aim of course

The goal of this course is to examine advanced concepts in distributed systems research that are strongly relevant to the PhD research plan of first year doctoral students in the area of distributed systems.  

 

Subject of course

In this course, we discuss theoretical foundations, technologies, architectures, standards and examples of recent developments to support students to identify their specific research directions and to develop their PhD research plan in the area of distributed systems. The course is highly customized for a limited number of PhD students in the area of distributed systems. Both specific discussion for individual participants and general discussions for the whole participants will be held, ensuring that an individual research plan will be developed, while all participants will benefit from the knowledge exchanged by others.
