Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to develop a solution for a complex problem in the area of virtual and augmented reality, i.e. to plan, implement, evaluate and document a prototypical software solution.

Subject of course

Topics and contents will be announced during the Vorbesprechung and will be available on TUWEL.

Additional resources (tutorials, research papers...) will be also available on TUWEL.

Teaching methods

First lessons will be held at the beginning of the semester to introduce the different topics students could choose and the basics of each projects.

Students have to choose the appropriate hardware and software of the application. Suitable laboratory equipment is available for the implementation.

Course leaders will be available one hour per week to answer students questions and give appropriate feedback on their projects. They can also provide feedback by email or through TUWEL

The application or prototype will be evaluated through:

- a short document summurazing the work done

- a short proof of concept video demonstrating the results

- a short oral to present the project

- The score of the final hardware or software prototype at the time of submission/presentation (70%).

- The quality and completeness of the video and documentation (20%)
