Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • capture the requirements of a practical implementation or analysis task;
  • define an appropriate architecture and create a design;
  • work with current software toolchains, integrate existing components and implement new components;
  • choose an appropriate test strategy and perform tests;
  • present the finished work and document it according to standards.

 

Subject of course

The focus is on Distributed Systems and Databases, in particular on Adaptivity, Performance, Dependability and Security in current application areas, characterized by high dynamics and scaling, such as IoT, big data and distributed ledger (blockchain) technologies.

Own topics and questions of adaptivity, performance, dependability and security from the work environment or area of interest of the students are possible.
