Aim of course

* Application of foundational principles in interface & interaction design in a practical design project
* Development of a design concept through a user centered design process

Subject of course

This course is an adjunct to the course VU Interface & Interaction Design (183.289) and provides the opportunity to apply the acquired foundational knowledge in the areas if design and human computer interaction in a practical design project. The elaboration is done in small groups. The assignment is to develop a detailed design concept (consisting of a paper, poster and video) in a user centered design process.

Examination modalities

Ablauf und didaktisches Vorgehen:

Während des Semesters werden mehrere Workshops (geblockt, mit Anwesenheitspflicht) stattfinden, in deren Rahmen Sie Grundlagen und Methodik kennenlernen, Ihren Fortschritt präsentieren und Feedback zu Ihrer Ausarbeitung erhalten. Zwischen den Workshops erfolgt die Ausarbeitung des Konzepts selbständig in Kleingruppen.

Weitere Details werden in der Vorbesprechung bekanntgegeben.

Aufwandsschätzung (ECTS):

- Workshops: 18h
- Ausarbeitung Projekt: 55h
- Abschlusspräsentationen: 2h
