After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand lectures from multiple disciplines and depict their relation to Data Science. This forms the basis for selecting an inter-disciplinary project.
The interdisciplinary lecture series is part of the Domain-specific aspects module in the Data Science curriculum and forms a thematic block together with 194.068 Domain-Specific Lectures in Data Science, as well as the project course 194.047 Interdisciplinary Project in Data Science.
It introduces problem settings in different domains such as Architecture, Earth Observation, Chemistry, Waste Water Processing, and many others. These lectures form the basis for choosing the Interdisciplinary Project, and provide an initial guidance to the domain-specific lectures associated with the respective domain.
