Group meetings start March 22, 2021; exact dates and schedule are specified by the supervisor of your group and announced here in TISS (in the section "documents") and in TUWEL at the beginning of March.
Course enrolment
The course enrolment is a two-step procedure: Students must
- enrol for the course “Scientific Research and Writing” (general enrolment): via TISS (open until March 1, 2021, 10 am)
- enrol for a specific seminar group of part 2 as well; further information in the following paragraph.
Enrolment for a specific seminar group of part 2
Please note that having enrolled for the course “Scientific Research and Writing” (general enrolment) via TISS by March 1, 2021, 10 am is a prerequisite for enrolling for a specific seminar group of part 2.
There are two different modes of enrolment for the seminar groups of part 2:
- Most seminar groups require an online-registration (Online-Anmeldung) via TISS (see link below: “Register in a Group”); the online registration is open from March 8 to March 11, 2021.
- Some few seminar groups require a registration in person (persönliche Anmeldung): Students have to attend a “mandatory informational meeting” (verpflichtende Vorbesprechung) between March 8 and March 11, 2021 and to register there. For more detailed information regarding these “mandatory informational meetings” (when & where), please see the section “events” of the respective seminar groups (tab groups/“your group”/events).
Please note that the registration for a seminar group of part 2 is a registration under reserve at first. It becomes operative only after having finished part 1 of the course with a positive mark. Students will be informed about the definite confirmation of their registration by March, 22nd at the latest.

The deadline for completing part 2 of the course is July 31st, 2021.
