The overall goal of this seminar is to develop a deeper critical understanding of issues related to Media Informatics.
Examples could be to:
- understand and critically discuss different approaches to media informatics design
- understand the key debates within the relevant academic communities about different approaches
- identify the strengths, weaknesses and theoretical alignments of different approaches
- be able to make principled choices matching methods and theories and approaches to contexts.
Topic areas will be chosen in disucssion with the students.
Example topics could include:
- how values are embedded on software and technologies
- tecnologies for promoting positive mental health and wellbeing
- human-centred robotics

Lectures / Discussions: 8 hours
Literature search, group / individual topic identification: 15 hours
Create a seminar paper: 48 hours
