This course is part of the welcome.TU.code initiative of the Faculty of Informatics: https://informatics.tuwien.ac.at/welcome-tu-code/  Originally (since WS 2015), computer courses on different levels (from basics of using computers to an introduction to programming) for refugees were organized under this initiative. Since WS 2021, we additionally provide computer courses for youths with low education in Vienna. These youths are supported by various institutions sponsored by the City of VIenna, namely WUK work.space (https://www.wuk.at/angebot/bildung-und-beratung/wuk-workspace/) and "Sprunbrett für Mädchen und junge Frauen" (https://sprungbrett.or.at/) .

The particpants of this lecture can choose in which course the want to work as "trainers". The assignment of students to the various courses will be organized via group registration in TISS. The programming courses will (depending on the interest of the course participants) probably comprise  Python and/or an introduction to web programming. The basic course will be mainly about office programmes. In the courses for youths supported by the WUK work.space and the Sprungbrett, we will organize mini-workshops on various IT-relevant topics, such as e.g., responsible handling data on the web and in social media, security, Artificial Intelligence, simple Arduino programmes, office programmes, etc.. The concrete topics for the current semester will be discussed and decided jointly with the students in the lecture "192.055 IT Projekte für Jugendliche (PR 3.0 ECTS)" in the specific preparation class on 11 October, 2022.

Further details will be presented in the first class.
