After successful completion of the course, students are able to Lage

• to meet the needs of coiurse participants with a different cultural and language background

• Design and implementation of a IT-based curriculum für young users
• Planning and utilising the curriculum
• Selection and application of appropriate methods for training
• Cooperation and coordination of project work with others
• Creating a written or multimedia summary of implemented project and reflexion onto certain aspects

After an organisational and didactic introduction, the students have to independently prepare and realize the classes.

This course has emerged from the Welcome.TU.Code initiative of the Faculty of Informatics of TU Wien: https://informatics.tuwien.ac.at/welcome-tu-code/  In the context of this initiative, we have been organising computer courses on different levels for young refugees since the winter term 2015.

In the winter term 2021, we started to offer additionally courses and small workshops for educationally alienated youths in collaboration with the City of Vienna. In the winter term 2021, we thus organised courses in the WUK work.space:  https://www.wuk.at/magazin/383-quintillionen-jahre/  The collaboration with the WUK work.space will be continued this semester. In addition, we are planning to organise courses for girls who are mentored by the sprungbrett:  https://sprungbrett.or.at/

The assessment is based on the quality of the preparation and of the teaching.
