After successful completion of the course, students are able to discuss concepts and principles of quantum computing in a formally correct way. Moreover, they are able to describe and analyse classical algorithms for quantum computers and to adapt such algorithms for other problem classes.
From the contents:
The course is comprised of a lecture part and an exercise part. For the latter, students need to solve exercises from a given number of exercise sheets and present their solutions. Moreover, some problems have to be solved by implementing programs for quantum computers.
Attention:
ECTS breakdown: 6 ECTS = 150 Hours
The grade is based on an evaluation of the exercise part and a final exam (oral or written).
Linear algebra from the bachelor lectures, complex numbers not required but helpful.
