The seminar elaborates on the topics of a previous lecture, this time the lectures on "Advanced Multiprocessor Programming" and "High Performance Computing". The seminar can serve the preparation towards the master thesis.
Reading and presentation of current research papers. Each participant reads 1-3 papers on a more or less closed topic (algorithm, system, problem) and presents these to the group; this is completed by a short written exposition. Detailed discussion during the presentation is most important.
IMPORTANT: all interested students should be present at the first planning meeting where the papers will be selected.
Dates: see Course website
Successful presentation of the selected papers, afterwards a written summary/exposition will be prepared.
Introduction to Parallel Computing, Advanced Multiprocessor Programming, Parallel Algorithms, High Performance Computing (or similar).
