This course is aiming to explore the challenges in Web of Data and introducing the Linked Data. The Linked Data as a set of best practices for publishing and connecting structured data on the Web, is aiming to evolve the current Web into Web of Data. During the past few years, the Linked Data initiative has been constantly growing and today there is a big amount of high quality Linked Data that are made available to public.

This course is especially dedicated to the students of "Doctorate College of Environmental Informatics" and other informatic PhD students are also welcome to attend this course.

Total: 75.0 hours

The course evaluation is based on the survey of domain litrature and also reviewing the research results of other students. Finally students need to summarize and present their findings as a scientific paper.
