After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve independently and in teams selected problems of knowledge management in knowledge-based organisations. Especially, the identification of knowledge processes, the elicitation of knowledge and the usage of a knowledge managment system is addressed.
The tasks of the exercises are related to the content of the knowledge management lecture but can be solved without attending the lecture. Four tasks are given that are solved in groups of three students (exception task 2) and presented with power point slides in a meeting. The discussed solution can be improved afterwards by the team and delivered at least one week later electronically.
Task descriptions can be found in TUWEL and solutions of teams are uploaded to TUWEL. The tasks are described rather abstract to give students the possibility to search for creative solutions under the overarching goal to improve the knowledge management in an organization.
The presentations take place on four Mondays during the semester. Assignment of groups are organized in the first meetinge.
