The goal of this course is the practical application of research topics of the Business Informatics Group. Coursework will include the collection of related business problems, identification of optimization possibilities, and the potential application in IT systems. Optionally the work can be conducted in cooperation with an industry partner. If you would like to accomplish your lab in cooperation with an external partner, please inform your advisor in advance.
During the course of this lab students will realize a practical assignment beginning with a coarse-grained requirements definition culminating in a final prototypical realization. Potential topics include but are not limited to requirements analysis, process optimization, design, implementation, and prototypical realization. The exact definition of your lab assignment will be done together with your advisor and depends on the chosen topic, the topic's complexity, and the size of your team (if you are working in one).
