Students will choose a real business process to explore and capture the characteristics and goals of process modeling and to represent the same business process by applying multiple modeling techniques. The connection between business processes and information technology as well as static and dynamic modeling are covered through various process and data modeling techniques.

The course consists of a lecture and an exercise as well as two tests.
Three exercises must be completed in groups of 3. The exercises cover modeling techniques, Petri nets, EPCs and BPMN.
