After successful completion of the course, students are able to draft applications of complex assistive technology systems for old people in the area of AAL. They can apply typical solutions and configure them and select methods for evaluation. They know about ethical implications of its use and can apply appropriate methods for analysis.

• Basics of Ambient Assisted/Active Living and Smart Environment Technologies
• Basics of Partizipative Design with users, privacy, ethics 

Introduction into the field of AAL, presentation of existing applications, discussion of ethical, legal and evaluation principles.
