Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

- distiguish between different sound qualities
- recognize historical-electronic sounds
- configure an audio chain (computer - DAW - soundcard - audiomixer - loudspeakers and microphones)
- use an DAW software
- programm analog sound synthesis in a real time software environment
- produce a creative soundcollage

Subject of course

*  Music history, musical styles & genres, tonal systems & fundamentals of harmony, beat & rhythm.
*  Classification of sound by associative listening
*  Introduction in Reaper and pure data
*  Introduction to Acoustics
*  Recording: environment and sound samples
*  Creating a sound collage using your own creative ideas
