Aim of course

 

Work in teams on reflection and design problems; Be able to discuss technologies and needs with potential users; Come up with innovative ideas for interactive technologies; Approach open and ambiguous problem situations in a proactive and self-organized way.

 

Subject of course

Theories of Human perception, cognition and practice
Theoretical foundation of user experience
Design principles and interface design guidelines
Conducting usability studies and expert evaluations of interactive systems
Principles of a user centred interaction design process
HCI related to different types of interactive software

The kick off for the Lectures Basics of Human Computer Interaction und Gesellschaftliche Spannungsfelder der Informatik are pooled into one; because of the large number of expected students, we are organizing two identical kick off meetings. If your matriculation number ends with an even digit, please attend the kick-off on tuesday, 6 march, 10:00if it ends with an odd digit, please come to the kick-off on wednesday, 7 march, 15:00. (both meetings are in Kuppelsaal)
