After successful completion of the course, students are able to demonstrate a knowledge and sound understanding of core theoretical approaches to the study of media and communication (including a historical view on media and its relatedness to culture and society)

Due to the exceptional situation we are faced this semester in the wake of the actions that have been taken to contain the spread of the corona virus disease, the organisation of the course “Theories on Communication and Media” will be modified. In particular, there will be no meetings at TU Wien (at least for the time the above mentioned measures will remain in force). (Please keep the scheduled dates of the course sessions in your calendar - for any eventuality).
