To deepen students' understanding of design processes in a variety of fields and help them apply this knowledge in their own work.
Design work - theories of design (Dewey, Schön, Lave & Wenger, Latour, design studies, etc.); qualities of an inspirational design environment; ethnographic studies of design practice; introduction to the history of design: Exploring design principles and strategies using practical cases from architecture, product design, exhibition design, interaction design, fashion, etc.
The course consists of lectures and practical work, which consists of researching the development of a specific design discipline or period or stile and presenting this research in written and oral form.
