By the end of this course, students will be be able to use the following Python language constructs and modules to solve problems:

• Standard Programming Constructs (e.g. sequential statements, iterative statements, functions)
• Object Oriented Programming Constructs
• Advanced Data Structures (e.g. lists and dictionaries)
• The Pygame Module (to create games)
• The NumPy and SciPy Modules (to perform scientific computing)
• The pandas Module (to manipulate data)
• The matplotlib Module (to visualize data)
• The scikit-learn Module (to learn from data)

• Students will learn the basics of the Python programming language.
• Students will learn to use Python libraries.
• Students will develop a fun and compelling Python assignment, suitable for high school or first-year university students.

Diese Veranstaltung wird von Gastprof. John Paxton (Montana State University) in englischer Sprache abgehalten. Er wird begleitet von Studierenden der Montana State University, bietet aber nach Verfügbarkeit auch Studierenden der TU Wien die Möglichkeit am Kurs teilzunehmen. 

Die VU findet geblockt vom 15.05.2017 bis 09.06.2017 jeweils von 9:30 - 12:30 statt (Montag bis Freitag).
