Thorough treatment of the state-of-the-art in computer graphics.
In the lecture advanced methods of computer graphics are dealt with in depth. First higher graphical programming is discussed with Java3D. Advanced modelling techniques and complex data structures for graphical data are other major topics. Sampling and reconstruction of continuous signals is important for the handling of discrete information (raster graphics). Furthermore computer games are addressed. Surface structuring through texture mapping is another important aspect for photorealistic rendering. Special topics like non-photorealistic rendering or visualization conclude the lecture series. Didactical Approach: The content is presented through electronic slides.
ECTS Breakdown: 3 ECTS = 75 hours
