After successful completion of the course, students are able to achieve scientific results and to present them in a scientific article. A scientific question is dealt with within the frame of a project.
Literature search, compilation of the state-of-the-art, identification of a scientifically interesting topic, implementation of a software prototype, evaluation with quantitative comparisons, writing of a scientific paper. Didactical Approach: In regular individual meetings (basically weekly or bi-weekly) the project progress is discussed and further action points are planned.
Joint work on a scientific question.
ECTS Breakdown: 4 ECTS = 100 hours
Written scientific article.
Personal application at one of the lecturers necessary.
Extensive knowledge of computer science, in particular of computer graphics.
