After successful completion of the course, students are able to recognize methodological mistakes in publications, are aware of methodological problems in their own work, choose meaningful methods, and avoid methodological mistakes.

The student listens to a talk about scientific method in computer science. The student hold a talk about the methods used in a paper of their choice, and discusses talks held by others. The student holds a talk about a planned scientific work (e.g., their thesis) and in particular its methodology, and discusses such talks held by others.
Primarlity targeted at students working on the master's thesis or Ph.D.
The grade is based on the talks given by the student, and on the student's participation in the discussions.
