Aim of course

The goal is to understand the design principles of P2P networking using concepts from various disciplines such as graph theory, distributed systems and algorithm design.

Subject of course

Lecture contents: 

Introduction, unstructured P2P

Consistent hashing, DHT algorithms: Chord,

Kademlia, CAN, PGrid,

Pastry and Tapestry

Application layer multicast , Bit Torent

constant degree P2P networks, 

Security aspects in P2P systems, byzantine fautt tolerance

Example application in intelligent transportation
