Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able

  • to solve sample calculations (number systems, memory hierarchy, networks)
  • to analyze and write small assembly programs
  • to understand digital circuits
  • to decode commands in a simple Datapath
  • understand pipelining examples

Teaching methods

Used methodes:

  • Lectures in the lecture hall.
  • Exercise sheets (have to be solved at home).
  • Discussion of the exercise sheets in exercise groups will be done in the lecture hall.
  • Three tests (Paper-Tests in a ClosedBook format in the lecture hall). The best two tests are counting, and not each test own its own has to be positive.

All lectures and exercises will be recorded and the recordings will be provided in the TUWEL course.

Preliminary meeting: Wednesday, March 2nd 2022, 7:15p.m. - 9:00p.m., Informatik-Hörsaal (Treitlstraße 3). The preliminary meeting will be recorded.
