After successful completion of the course, students are able to read and understand scientific papers about programming languages and compilers, present the contents in a talk and in a seminar writeup, and compare the work with others. In addition, they can find additional papers on a topic, ask questions on a topic, and lead the discussion after a presentation.
Presentation of (intermediate) results of the dissertation in an appropriate way (presentation, discussion, demo).
Understanding scientific articles on programming languages, literature search, aural presentation and discussion, panel chairman, written presentation, review of written presentations.
The grade is based on the presentations, the final seminar paper, the reviews you have written (not the reviews others have written about your draft paper), the work as a session chair, and the active participation in the discussions.
