After successful completion of the course, students are able to read and understand scientific papers about programming languages, present the contents in a talk and in a seminar writeup, and compare the work with others. In addition, they can find additional papers on a topic, ask questions on a topic, and lead the discussion after a presentation.
Understanding scientific articles on programming languages, literature search, aural presentation and discussion, panel chairman, written presentation, review of written presentations.
The kick-off meeting of the seminar takes places on Tuesday, 9 March 2021, 2.15pm, online via BigBlueButton. The URL will be published by Email.
The topic of the seminar is given by the accepted articles of the conference "SPLASH 2020," which took place from 15-20 November 2020 online. These articles are online available at the homepage of the conference: https://2020.splashcon.org/
The grade is based on the presentations, the final seminar paper, the reviews you have written (not the reviews others have written about your draft paper), the work as a session chair, and the active participation in the discussions.
