Aim of course

Basic knowledge of the regulations of the Austrian health system; ability to individually retrieve these regulations of the EU, the Austrian Federation and the Federal States and to extract information about institutions, structures and processes. It is not goal to learn by heart all this, as many regulations are rapidly changing.

Subject of course

Basic principles of the constitutional law, the legislation and administration in the Austrian health system as well as the sanitary police; hospital affaires; principles of selected fields: medical products, pharmaceuticals, vaccination; introduction into the law of contract and tort with emphasis to treatment contracts and tort in the medical environment.
