Sicherheit spielt in der Entwicklung von IT-Systemen eine grundlegende Rolle, da Schwachstellen katastrophale Folgen für Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft haben können. In dieser Vorlesung werden die Studenten die Grundlagen der IT-Sicherheit erlernen.
Konkret werden sie lernen Sicherheitsprobleme zu finden und entsprechende Lösungen zu entwickeln und einzusetzen, um erfolgreich sichere IT-Systeme zu entwerfen.

• Basics of system security (security principles, authentication and access control, control-flow hijacking) 
• Basics of web security (browser security, client-side security, server-side security)
• Basics of cryptography (symmetric cryptography, asymmetric cryptography)
• Basics of network security (denial of service, TLS, network anonymity)
