Subject of course

This course presents and discusses theoretical foundations, technologies, architectures, standards and examples of recent developments regarding Service-oriented and Cloud Computing. It will discuss current hot and crucial topics for PhD research. From the system perspective, we will discuss:

  • Complex and hybrid cloud computing systems, such as IoT cloud systems and federated clouds as continuum computing environments
  • Integration of software services, IoT and human services
  • Complex data analytics atop cloud systems

From the user perspective, we will discuss

  • Concepts of quality of results
  • DevOps actions

Several enabling techniques are also discussed for the above-mentioned systems to support user's requirements, such as

  • Elasticity principles
  • Programming elasticity
  • End-to-end dependability

This course is highly designed for PhD research level.
