The students will obtain a deep understanding of the state-of-the-art of automated planning, the main methods employed in this field, and of how to use these technologies in practice.
The lecture will provide an introduction to the field of planning in Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on logic-based methods, knowledge representation in temporal domains, and nondeterminism. The most important algorithms will be covered, and also practical planning systems will be reviewed. After consulting with the students, a small number of selected arguments will be covered in more depth.
Ths lecture will be given in a blocked way. Lectures will be fixed during the preliminary meeting.
