Aim of course

  • Basic knowledge of current HPC architectures and communication networks, problems and challenges
  • Mastering advanced features of MPI and/or other interfaces for HPC
  • Knowledge of problems, algorithms, solutions and tools for HPC

Overview of current HPC architectures and communication networks, problems, algorithms and solutions (with project/exercises); advanced MPI programming (with project/exercise), tools, performance models, libraries (with project/exercise)

PLANNING and OVERVIEW: Monday 5.3, 14:00-14:30 (approx), first lecture Monday 12.3

IMPORTANT: Some Thursdays, 10:00-12:00 in EI6 will be used additionally

NOTE: The HPC lecture will be given next time in Winter Semester 2018, from then on in the winter term
