Basic knowledge of Distributed Systems is a precondition for attending this course (otherwise you may be unable to follow the course). Thus you must have completed a course of Distributed Systems at our institute or at any other university. This is a course with integrated lab -- you have to pass the theoretical exam as well as the lab in order to get a positive grade. You need to register for the lab part (see the course web page at the beginning of the semester for details). The lecture will be held in English.
This year, the lab consists of two separate parts. The first part is a regular programming assignment, which has to be done in groups of 2 or 3. The second part is a small project. For the second part, you need to register to one of the two groups. Note that there are different class times for both groups, so register to the group whose time slot suits you better.
Steps for registering in Virtual Campus:
- Go to http://vc.infosys.tuwien.ac.at/, in the box VC Login click Create an account. Follow the instructions to create your account.
