Aim of course

The aim of this lecture is to independently run a small computer engineering project. The topics mainly concern computer engineering and (distributed) automation, automation systems integration and the (Industrial) IoT. 

It is possible that students suggest topics they want to work on. The course offers the possibility to work on recent research project of the Automation Systems Group. Work started during this course can be continued/accompanied by a (subsequent) master thesis.

Subject of course

Students shall learn to work independently on a research project of and adequate size. Thereby, project management is an important task. The students will be individually supported and advised.

Projects may include the development of hardware and/or embedded software up development/engineering/testing/adapting of distributed automation systems and their integration into the (Industrial) Internet of Things.
