Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to

  • carry out a state-of-the-art literature research on a selected problem in the field of medical informatics;
  • analyze, discuss and describe solutions to the selected research problem on the basis of the literature research
  • to evaluate and present research questions

Subject of course

This lecture covers the following topics:

  • Creating a presentation of a project aligned to the target audience. 
  • Presenting in front of a technical audience. 
  • Giving and implementing feedback.

Analysis of current topics in the field of medical informatics.

Teaching methods

The following methods are used in this course:

- Discussion rounds
- Research of relevant literature using common search engines
- independent working
- Presentation of the results

Preliminary talk and introduction to research topics: 2 hrs
Lectures/ Lab-demonstrations: 8 hrs
