After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the fundamentals of computer engineering. This includes understanding and applying the topics described in the content of the course. In addition, students understand the essential relationships between these topics.
Learning activities comprise lectures, assignments in large groups, as well as two written exams (+one make-up test).
Because of COVID-19 this can be adaped.

Currently we plan to hold the course in presence. However, after an announcement in TUWEL we are able to switch between distance learning, hybrid and presence for parts of the course or for the whole course.
Workload estimation (ECTS breakdown): 75 hours = 3 ECTS
- Lecture time (25 hours)
- Written tests (3 hours)
- Homework (38 hours)
- Post-processing of lectures and preperation for exams(9 hours)

To pass the course successfully it is required to pass entry-tests, to solve a certain number of homework exercises, and to get a positive assessment for the presentation of solved homework exercises during classes. In addition, a positive assessment of two written exams is required. All details about examination modalities are presented during the preliminary meeting and can be looked up in the sildes for the preliminary meeting in the TUWEL-course.
