Aim of course

prepare for autonomous scientific research in computer vision. How to find NEW and ORIGINAL contributions? course GOAL: create comprehensive list of open problems in CV, collective coverage of the state of the art , individual presentations (written + oral) of topics chosen by students.

Subject of course

General: Principles of Scientific Communication, assess and discuss the state of the art in a subarea of computer vision, communicate and discuss the concrete results in a lecture unit and/or submit to a scientific workshop.

Course for PhD Students:

1.0 ECT developing the paper concept+lecture units

1.0 ECT project+writing scientific paper under supervision

0.2 ECT submission to CVWW before deadline

0.5 ECT discussion of reviews and revision

0.3 ECT preparing slides and presentation of the paper at CVWW
