• Protocols (eg HTTP) 
• Operation 
• Search Engines and Directory Services 
• Security Special Topics: 
• Behavior of protocols in case of non-constant data connections 
• Efficient use of network services with limited resources 
• Design of nation-wide network infrastructures and their NOCs (network operation centers) 
• Security architectures in mobile networks (use of SIM-cards,...) 
• Operation/Failover
