After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand techniques and methods proven in practice for the identification, analysis, avoidance and control of project risks. The theoretical basic knowledge is imparted with special attention to the requirements and characteristics of IT projects. In addition, practice-oriented elements will be incorporated into the course through case studies and exercises.
The lecture will cover the following aspects of project management:
The course is divided into a lecture part and an exercise part. In the lecture basics as well as different methods and techniques in risk management are presented. The presented methods and techniques will be used in the practice part. Within the scope of the exercise, tasks are to be worked out in small groups. The examples will be evaluated individually for each group and additionally presented at the end of the semester in the form of a final presentation.

Evaluation of the papers with final presentation and written examination at the end of the semester. To determine the final grade, the exercise points and the result of the written test are added together. The final grade is determined from the total points (maximum 100).
Attendance is compulsory during the LVA.
No fundamental knowledge is requirded to attend this course.
