The aim of the course is to give insights on the possibilities of the use of 3D image processing, especially in practical, industrial applications. Accompanying the lecture practice oriented problems, such as imaging geometry, lighting, ambient lighting and the like will be shown on the example of real hands on examples. For 3D processing, a Geomagic software product is presented as professional 3D data editing program. Exercise groups of 2 people solve the 3d object modeling of a selected object from scanning to the final 3d model under supervision of tutors. Students can choose between a Minolta triangulationscanner and a Aicon Structured Light scanner. The scanning held will be blocked.
