After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply appropriate formal-mathematical methods for modelling, abstraction, solution finding and evaluation in the field of 3D computer vision and acquire problem formulation and problem solving competence. Furthermore, they are able to handle subject-specific hardware and software and to successfully convert real objects into 3D models. In addition to the lecture, students will learn about and solve real-world problems such as geometry, lighting, ambient light, etc. After successful completion of the course, students will be able to use Geomagic Wrap as a professional 3D editing program. They are also able to create a 3D model from photographs using a Structure from Motion program.
