Mostly self-dependent realization of a self-chosen small-sized HW/SW project in computer engineering (e.g. as part of an ongoing research or teaching prject).
Students can propose their own topic. This course is well-suited for students who wish to learn about our research and on-going projects and who would like to work on a master or PhD thesis in the context of our research projects later on.
Running and managing a small-sized project: Definition, implementation, testing, and documentation of a defined CPS projects.
Project topics may be from the following areas: CPS / embedded systems architectures, programming methods for CPS resp. embedded systems, CPS modeling, intelligent control, intelligent robotics, timing analysis, design/design tools for safety-critical real-time systems, fault tolerance, dependable systems, security in embedded systems, communication and network protocols for ES, etc.
Didactic concept: Self-reliant work on a hardware and/or software project. Presentation of the results of the project.
This course is recommended for students who wish to get to know the research areas and projects of our research group.
