Properties

  • Semester hours: 1.0
  • Credits: 6.0
  • Type: PR Project

Aim of course

Mostly self-dependent realization of a self-chosen small-sized HW/SW research project in computer engineering (e.g. as part of an ongoing research project).

This course is well-suited for students who wish to learn about our research and on-going projects and who would like to work on a master or PhD thesis in the context of our research projects later on.

Subject of course

Running and managing a small-sized project: Definition, implementation, testing, and documentation of a defined CPS projects.

Project topics may be from the following areas: CPS / embedded systems architectures, programming methods for CPS resp. embedded systems, CPS modeling, intelligent control, intelligent robotics, timing analysis, design/design tools for safety-critical real-time systems, fault tolerance, dependable systems, security in embedded systems, communication and network protocols for ES, etc.

Didactic concept: Self-reliant work on a problem statement. Writing a scientific work. Presentation of the results. Possibilty to contribute to a scientific publication.
