Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to conduct scientific work on a topic related to computer engineering. This comprises the search, selection and categorization of existing scientific literature on the topic, and the documentation/presentation of one's own scientific in the form of a report or paper as well as a presentation of one's findings.

  • Presentation of scientific work

Project topics may be from the following areas: CPS / embedded systems architectures, programming methods for CPS resp. embedded systems, CPS modeling, intelligent control, intelligent robotics, timing analysis, design/design tools for safety-critical real-time systems, fault tolerance, dependable systems, security in embedded systems, communication and network protocols for ES, etc.

Didactic concept: Self-reliant work on a topic. Presentation of the results of the project.

Teaching methods

Personal discussion at the beginning, reports and discussion with the supervisor on a regular basis, writing the final report, presentation.
