Mostly self-dependent realization of a self-chosen small-sized HW/SW project in computer engineering (e.g. as part of an ongoing research or teaching prject). This course is well-suited for students who wish to learn about our research and on-going projects and who would like to work on a master or PhD thesis in the context of our research projects later on.
Running and managing a small-sized project in computer engineering.
Project topics may be from the following areas: Embeddes systems architectures, programming methods for embedded systems, timing analysis, design/design tools for safety-critical real-time systems, fault tolerance, dependable systems, security in embedded systems, communication and network protocols for ES, etc.
Didactic concept: Self-reliant work on a hardware and/or software project. Presentation of the results of the project.
This course is recommended for students who wish to get to know the research areas and projects of our research group.
ECTS breakdown: 6 ECTS = 150 hours.
Grading is based on the project work, the project outcome, and the project documentation.
Not necessary
Functional/methodic, practical and social skills necessary for running and completing the project.
