Properties

  • Semester hours: 4.0
  • Credits: 6.0
  • Type: LU Laboratory Exercise

Aim of course

This course teaches the practical aspects on design and programming of distributed embedded systems.

Subject of course

The lab course Embedded Systems Engineering treats design and implementation of embedded systems. Students will implemented a set of example programs on embedded hardware. The lab course is held together with the lecture Embedded Systems Engineering. For the programming of the examples a microcontroller board which has been developed especially for the lab course is used. The students skills to communicate with their peers are promoted during the lab. Furthermore, the documentation and description of technical circumstances are exercised through the writing of lab reports. An engineer s skill to recognize and solve connected problems is enhanced through the analysis of the programmed examples. Question are to be discussed at our forum (http://luna.vmars.tuwien.ac.at/~wilfried/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=14).
