Aim of course

Acquisition of the ability to solve a practical problem in a specific field of computer engineering.

Subject of course

A given practical problem shall be worked out. Group work is possible, provided the individual tasks are clearly separated. Several examples for problems can be found on our homepage. Own suggestions are encouraged (as they fit to the main fields of interest in our department). Didactic concept: In a personal meeting with your advisor the task is specified and the title assigned. Furthermore it is checked whether your pre-know-how meets the requirements. During your work you regularly inform your advisor about your progress and encountered problems (in case of severe problems please contact your advisor immediately rather than waiting for the next appointment). Towards the finish of your work you discuss the structure of your written report with your advisor (it is useful to prepare a proposal for a table of contents for this purpose), as well as the oral presentation where the result is demonstrated, if possible.
