Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to

  • to name relevant aspects of database administration
  • to reproduce the current database research for a chosen topic from the database administration area
  • to find the relevant literature for a topic from database research

 

Subject of course

Selected topics in current database research with a focus on database administration

Teaching methods

The students have to

  • prepare a seminar thesis for the chosen topice
  • give an oral presentation of this seminar thesis
  • review 2 seminar theses of their colleagues
  • reivse their own thesis based on the received reviews

Organisation

It is planned to have the students' presentations "live" in the seminar room. If the Covid situation requires, these classes will switch to online via Zoom. The dates as announced in the first class are firm independently of the Covid situation.
