Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • use a selected CFD software package for simple process engineering problems;
  • understand the basics of computational fluid dynamics as an important tool in process engineering as well as the scopes and limitations of modern CFD packages;

Subject of course

Learning how to use a modern CFD package (tutorial). Solving a CFD problem in process engineering starting from geoemtry and boundary conditions. Critical analysis of results achieved.

Working through tutorials provided in the course; guided solving of a CFD problem with limited complexity
